Tripa is a platform that allows users and tour guides to connect. Users are able to either choose from a list of predefined tours or completely build their own.

Kyle Brijder, the founder of Tripa, made contact with us when he was looking for a team to help design, developer and release his tour-based application.
As an ex-tour guide himself, Kyle has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market and cause disruption. Having obtained government funding and with a focus on building the application with a Cape Town team for a Cape Town market, Kyle reached out to us.
After helping define and validate the concept, we designed and developed the user facing PWA (progressive web application) along with all supporting portals. We designed it in such a way that the app would serve for both experiences: users and guides. The application allows to easily change between the experiences and easily apply to become a guide on the platform.
Through the management portal, Kyle is able to manage all users, tours and destinations so that the content on the application is always kept up to date.
What we did
1. Design and prototype the app and management portal
2. Help determine user flow scenarios
3. Developed the PWA and supporting management portal
4. Provide advice about building and scaling a user-facing app company
The results
Tripa is currently in closed beta testing but has been approved for further government funding to add more features to the application.
